For a long time I have believed that education is important and a forever ongoing process. It does not matter what form it takes or what goals are desired. You should expand your mind and your horizons and always strive to improve your knowledge.
Since the last century I had wanted to be a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). I recently achieved that objective. I took the CFE exam prep course and exam in Austin. The class had about 75 students, one-third women and five from overseas. I think I was the oldest student if not close to that. You are never too old to learn.
This year seemed to be the year to do so as I felt it was now or never. Even if not on my bucket list (blog of 1/13/12). I look forward to learning more and getting more anonyms as, and if needed.
I advocate that all of us should pursue education that is of interest and take steps to make it happen. This is something that you owe yourself, your family and your community.
